How to connect a domain

To connect of a domain you need to do the following steps:

1. Create a domain in Borstch
2. Verify a domain with a TXT DNS record at the DNS server/registrar console
3. Set the CNAME DNS record at the DNS server/registrar console
4. Use the domain in the URL in Borstch

Create a domain in Borstch

Click "plus" button near domains items in the admin panel in Borstch.

Enter the domain name and click "create".

Verify a domain

You will see instructions how to verify the domain. Copy the TXT record value and create a TXT DNS record at your domain registrar's admin panel with this value.

After that click verify. DNS record value might take time to propagate so that our system might not see the TXT record immediately.

Set the CNAME DNS record

After the domain is verified you will see a CNAME DNS record that you need to set up at your domain registrar's admin panel.

Use the domain in the URL

After the domain is connected open the url settings and pick the domain.

You can also save a URL with a domain that is not verified, but the URL will not render the needed page upon a request even iif youu set up the domain with the CNAME record.
